Friends and Family - Yup, that's right. Your friends and family not only want you to be happy and healthy, they also want you to be successful!
1. Reach out to 1-3 friends or family who you know would love to support you. Ask for what would help you. Maybe it’s a weekly meeting that’s on your schedule to make sure you are staying connected. Maybe it’s a weekly walk or yoga class with a friend that makes sure you get out of the house. Maybe it’s just asking, would it be ok if I called you sometimes when I’m super stressed?
Physical Health - Medical professionals that help to support your physical health might include Physicians, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Naturopaths, and Eastern Medicine Practitioners (Traditional Chinese Medicine or Ayurveda). These people are professionally trained to help your body keep working at its best!
Mental + Emotional Health - Mental health is incredibly important for being able to function at your best. Medical professionals that can help us understand our emotions and thoughts might include Therapists and Psychologists.
Health + Wellness Services - There are so many people who offer services that might be just the thing you are looking for! Ask for help! Be supported! These services might include massage therapists or chiropractors, Eastern Medicine (Ayurveda or Traditional Chinese Medicine), a yoga instructor or personal trainer, or a health coach. They might even include someone like me - who offers you free support and knowledge designed to support your health.
1. As I listed some of these health services, one of them probably stood out to you - for this action step, I challenge you to pick one of these things that you know would be supportive for you and commit to getting it on your schedule. What would support your health and wellness? What would support you being able to show up as your best self?
You! Yes, you are the MVP of your Health Support Squad. You are the most important part of it. You get to decide when you will ask for help. You get to decide the healthy choices you make that best support you.
So, how can you show up as your best self as much as possible? And how can you make sure that this happens?
